BRING processes recyclable materials brought by the public to Lane County's Glenwood Central Receiving Station. We crush, sort, bale and send to market more than 200 tons of cans, glass, plastic, cardboard and milk cartons every month.
Electronic waste (e-waste) is one of the fastest growing components of the waste stream. Electronic items often contain hazardous substances such as lead, mercury and brominated flame redardants that pose risks to the environment. For more information on the problem of e-waste click here.

Lane County residents have two good options for e-waste recycling.

• NextStep Recycling is a non-profit agency that refurbishes computers and peripherals for reuse, operates an electronics reuse store, recycles e-waste responsibly and seeks to bridge the digital divide by providing low cost electronics to those in need. Phone 541-686-2366.

• Lane County Waste Management Electronics Recycling Program accepts e-waste for recycling by appointment. Call 541-682-3111
