BRING Employee Impersonation Alert
On Sunday, August 14, BRING received notice of suspicious
individuals in the Seavey Loop area posing as employees of the nonprofit. The
report indicated that two men driving an older pickup had gone onto private
property and, when confronted, claimed to be soliciting materials donations.
One of the men, who were not employees of the Glenwood
nonprofit, may have been wearing a shirt that says BRING on it. BRING employees
do not solicit donations from private individuals door-to-door or scout for
materials in residential neighborhoods.
The nonprofit’s staff does haul very large materials
donations from homes after consultation with
donors who approach BRING, and they do not use private vehicles to do so. BRING
Executive Director Carolyn Stein asks anyone
