Donating materials to BRING

BRING accepts a wide variety of reusable and surplus building materials, garden supplies and related items. Proceeds from the sale of your donated goods support our mission to provide conservation opportunities, education and inspiration throughout our community. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Monday, Wednesday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

What we can't take

What we can't take

If we can't accept your item, we can help you find the right place to take it. If in doubt, bring it down - we'll look it over.  We are only a few minutes from the Glenwood transfer site, where many materials may be recycled or donated to another agency. Click here for our guide to Reuse and Recycling in Lane County. Among the things we cannot take:
  • Fluorescent light bulbs and fixtures
  • Unframed glass (loose window panes etc) except stained glass, art glass, mirror glass less than 4'x4' or mirrored closet doors.
  • Chemicals or hazardous materials of any kind
  • Batteries
  • Thermostats containing mercury
  • Smoke detectors
  • Oil tanks
  • Asbestos containing materials (drop ceiling tiles, floor tiles)
  • Baseboard heaters
  • Paint, stains (except unopened, new)
  • Particle board
  • Drywall/Sheetrock (exception: full 4x8 sheets)
  • Sports equipment (ski boots, exercise bikes, treadmills etc)
  • Household goods (clothes, dishes, most furniture etc)
  • Scrap lumber or plywood (lumber 4' or better OK, half sheets plywood OK, specialty woods like oak, cherry, etc. OK)
  • Electronics
  • Appliances
