"Reuse It:" the Movie

BRING and the City of Eugene teamed up to promote reuse, with a new video touting Oregon's robust used building materials industry. "Reuse It" shows why reuse is good for the environment and our economy.
Funded by a grant from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, the movie will be shown to industry and community groups, classrooms, and the general public through BRING's community education program and the City of Eugene's Green Building Program. The free DVD can be ordered through BRING's web site, which hosts the program.
The 12-minute video was produced, directed, and edited by Jerry Joffe, whose programs have appeared on regional and national news magazine programs, the Disney Channel, and in schools, museums and communities around the country. The program was written by Joffe, BRING executive director Julie Daniel, and Bryce Jacobson, senior waste reduction planner for Metro in Portland. Jacobson also was the narrator for the program. Director of photography was Skye Fitzgerald. Original music was composed and recorded by Tim McLaughlin. Original animation was provided by Erik de Buhr.
