6. Re-imagined Backyard: Garden with Outdoor Kitchen
The owners’ dream of a relaxing backyard where they could cook and entertain came true with help from their visionary contractors. A covered cooking area with ample seating and a dining “room” roofed by a wisteria-laden pergola replaces old sheds, beds, and pathways. Runoff from the outdoor sink helps irrigate a long-established blueberry patch that yields 120 pounds each season. A revived, mostly native landscape with semi-dwarf apple, pear, and cherry trees add to the bounty and beauty of this stunning backyard retreat.
