What we can take

Materials must be in good, reusable condition, except for fee-based items (*), which are accepted for recycling. All items are subject to staff discretion. Some restrictions may apply. Here's a sampling of what we take:

Aluminum siding

Bathroom cabinets
Bookcases - no particle board

Cabinets
Canning jars
Cabinet doors
Carpet - like new, clean only. Minimum size 8' x 8' or suitable for runner. No scrap, no carpet with pet odors, stains, or tread wear.
Carpet pad - new in package only
Cedar shakes
Compost bins

Door handles and hardware
Doors - interior/exterior. Cannot accept doors with bowing or need for major repair. Solid core commercial doors accepted at staff discretion.
Shower doors* - $4 fee
Sliding glass doors* - $4 fee for metal doors

Electric fixtures
Electric motors, working or not
Electrical boxes

Fiberglass patio roofing
Flooring
Flower pots

Kitchen cabinets - Cabinets should be free of damage beyond simple repair. Particle board cabinets at staff discretion. Must be in very good condition to consider.

Lawn mowers - hand, push and riding
Light fixtures
Lumber - 4' or better. No dry rot, splits, peeling paint or pest infestations.

Mirrors at staff discretion (no unframed glass)


Paint - unopened latex only

Patio furniture
Piping - metal and PVC
Plumbing and accessories
Plywood - 1/4 sheet or larger

Roofing materials

Scrap metal, including iron, steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and stainless steel
Screen doors
Screens
Shelving - no particle board
Shower doors* - $4 fee ea.
Shower stalls
Sinks* - $1 fee per bowl for non-metallic
Sky lights
Solar panels

Tile

Toilets - low-flow (1.6 gallons or less) in working condition, clean and free of cracks or chips (except hairline cracks in vintage porcelain).

We accept these kinds of toilets based on space, at staff discretion: Brand new, installed for one month or less Some vintage in excellent condition at staff discretion Some unique colors at staff discretion Some commercial toilets All lids 

Toilets are accepted for a fee at the Glenwood Central Receiving Station. When in doubt, stop by BRING on your way and we're happy to check out your toilet.

Tools
Tubs - Cannot accept plastic or fiberglass tubs with chips, peeling paint, deep scratches or stains.
