| Reuse Donation Guidelines Don't Dump it, Donate it! Donating reusable materials saves resources and money. We accept a wide range of building supplies and other items. If you have something reusable that isn't on the list, give us a call. We specialize in the unusual! We pick up pre-approved loads free of charge in the Eugene/Springfield Metro area and further afield if you have a large quantity or something really special. Bring materials to us any time during business hours, but do call first. We can usually let you know what we'll accept over the phone. Do not make any drop--offs outside our gates after hours. All donations are subject to staff approval. We will issue a receipt for your donation that is tax deductible to the extent the law allows. Your donations will: • Keep hundreds of tons of reusable materials out of the landfill. • Create a market for reuse. • Make usable materials affordable to all income levels. • Save resources for future generations. • Create jobs. • Provide income to BRING to fund our programs.  Acceptable donations include: • Lumber: dimensional lumber in lengths greater than 5 feet. • Plywood: sizes of one-half sheet or greater. • Doors: solid core, raised panel, sliding glass, antique, hollow core, French, etc. • Windows: casement, thermal, picture, wood framed, aluminum framed, vinyl, etc. No broken windows. • Light fixtures: reusable, working fixtures. • Cabinets: whole cabinets and countertops. • Fencing: cedar, chain link, plastic, wrought iron. • Hardware: hinges, knobs, brackets etc., • Plumbing, ducting: steel, copper and PVC pipe, HVAC, stovepipe, working faucets etc., • Landscaping: stone, brick, railroad ties, cinder blocks, pavers etc., • Bathroom and kitchen fixtures: sinks, toilets (no cracks), bathtubs. • Other: Vintage or working bicycles, good bike parts, working or complete lawn mowers, tillers, store fixtures, working electric motors, tools, awnings. We charge small fees to process the following materials: • Aluminum windows — $.50 each • Toilets — $2 each • Bathroom sinks — $1 each No charge for steel. We will usually NOT accept the following: (Many of these items can be recycled elsewhere. Check our "What to do with everything else" section on the Recycling page). • Please don't bring us anything hazardous, dangerous or non-reusable. • Anything liquid, like garden chemicals, paints, thinners, etc. (We may take unopened, new containers on occasion) • Soft furnishings. Curtains, couches, mattresses etc. • Clothes • Electronic goods, small appliances, stereo equipment, computer stuff. • Appliances: Refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, stoves. We may take gas appliances on occasion. • Televisions • Gasoline tanks, or anything that has stored gas, oil or diesel • Drywall • Pipe or lumber shorter than 5 feet • Fluorescent tubes. |
